Introductory Remarks

Welcome to the Bible Commitment Class! You are about to begin an exciting journey into God's Word. Lord willing, at the end of this session, you will be familiar with His Word in ways far beyond what you have been before! You should come to an excellent "working knowledge" of various parts of the Bible and be better prepared to share and explain it to others. Most importantly, my prayer for you is that you will acquire "heart knowledge" of the scriptures (through repetition and memorization) and a passion for serving Him that will change you all the remaining days of your life! Let's begin!

Ps 119:9-16 "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes. With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word."

WARNING/DISCLAIMER: This class will NOT change or improve you alone. You have to WANT to grow as a Christian! You will have to be committed to the class and work very hard to be successful. This will put an additional demand on your personal time. You may not all reach the goal the first time through. The reward awaits those who endure.

Luke 14:28 "For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?"
