Fall Chili Cook-Off Enjoyed by Many!  Shuffleboard Scandal Uncovered!
  • On a beautiful fall afternoon at Lake Chemung, many of our members enjoyed great food and fellowship! There were many different "secret chili recipes" to be sampled as well as the usual array of desserts. In shuffleboard news, Dave Chambers and John Natiw defeated Phil Scaggs and Mel McBroom as well as Austin Gilley and Mel in a later match. Rumor has it that Dave and John were sandbagging and have shuffleboard courts in their basements. Both were unavailable for comment.

Annual Summer Picnic a Success!
  • The Annual Chemung Real Estate Sales Event... err.... the Annual Church of Christ - West Summer Picnic was a great success! Although no units were sold by top salesman Jim Litton, the rain held off until the end. The thunderstorms made for an interesting ride home for the Natiw family who saw a rare double rainbow! As usual, the food was one of the highlights! Check out photos from the event!

A Message From The Elders:
  • "In order for the elders to function properly, we need to know what is on the mind of the congregation. To this end, we are establishing a weekly time when the elders will be available at the building for any of the congregation who would like to come and talk to us on a personal, spiritual or private issue. The time for this will be 7pm Thursday evenings. We are asking that if you wish to see us during that time, contact one of the elders for an appointment. We will make ourselves available for as long as required" (see May 19, 2002 bulletin for full message).
